Our workplace concept

At Akademiska Hus, we want to create the best conditions for a modern working life and an engaging employee experience. Through our workplace concept, we teach ourselves more about what it means so that we can lead the way and show the way.

We are convinced that the working life of the future requires a greater degree of flexibility in terms of where, when and how we work, and the workplace concept guides us towards an efficient and attractive knowledge environment. The concept includes our physical workplaces and offices, our digital work environments and tools, as well as our way of working and our culture.

Through the concept, we get a common platform for dialogue and support to be able to drive change and development. For us at Akademiska hus, trust and inclusion are key words in everything we do, and our workplace should always be a place where you want to be, whether the work is carried out on-site or remotely.

The workplace concept is based on seven benchmarks that will guide us in how to create an efficient and attractive environment for our employees.

  • Quality learning: We take responsibility for our own learning and contribute to spreading experiences and learning from each other, inside and outside the organization.
  • Efficient and accessible: Our workplaces should be a place where you want to be. You should always be able to choose a type of workplace that best supports the tasks to be performed, regardless of the need.

  • Mobile: Everyone should be able to work where, when and how it suits each person and the task best. We are mobile to always be where the action is, to solve a task on site at our customers/properties and to be able to easily meet and collaborate.
  • Sustainable and healthy: By sustainable and healthy, we mean both how we design our workplaces and those of us who work there. This includes everything from sustainable material choices to good ergonomics, a good working environment and a good welcome for employees and visitors.
