Eatery operates concept restaurants for food and meetings. Today, there are eighteen restaurants and conference venues from Åre to Malmö, serving a total of 5,000 - 6,000 guests per day. The new restaurant covers approximately 1,700 m2 and will be located in the middle of Campus Solna, with academia and a knowledge-intensive business community in life science as its closest neighbours.
"We are very pleased that Eatery has chosen Campus Solna as they expand their operations. We are convinced that their restaurant will be an appreciated addition that strongly contributes to the area's attractiveness. Campus Solna is in an intensive development phase and we see great interest in establishing itself here. The strategic location provides proximity to universities and authorities as well as around 100 companies and organisations," says Anna Alsborger, Property Director at Akademiska Hus.
Rebuilding for SEK 50 million
To enable Eatery's establishment, Akademiska Hus is investing approximately SEK 50 million in a redevelopment. The work will be completed by spring 2026 when Eatery opens the doors to the new restaurant.
"We are really looking forward to being a central part of the development of the new area in Hagastaden. It is a major investment that Akademiska Hus is making here and we will work hard to ensure an attractive and varied range of food and drink offerings at Campus Solna. We will be an obvious meeting place for those who work, study and live in the area," says Anders Sandkvist Pätsi, CEO of Eatery Sweden.
Facts about Campus Solna in Hagastaden
Campus Solna is an important part of the emerging Hagastaden – the inner city district where Stockholm and Solna meet, and which is expected to accommodate 6,000 homes and 50,000 workplaces when completed in 2030. Here, society, universities and the business community have joined forces with the goal of creating a leading life science cluster.
Akademiska Hus offers a unique opportunity for new players to establish themselves in the field and take part in the central meeting places that are created, where students, researchers, entrepreneurs and start-up companies can come together for knowledge exchange and innovation. In a number of different buildings, it is possible for life science players to rent everything from a single office chair and lab bench to premises with space for larger lab environments and entire head offices. Akademiska Hus also offers premises in the area for restaurants, retail and services.
