• Warn others who may be in danger
• Alert the Rescue Service by calling 112
• Extinguish the fire if possible
Fire alarm
- The signal to evacuate in case of fire is given via bell i
whole house. - The fire alarm is activated by smoke detectors and goes off
directly to the Rescue Service and Akademiska Hus
operations department. - The fire alarm system controls fire door closing,
elevators and opening of smoke hatches. - The elevators cannot be used when the fire alarm is activated.
- You can activate the fire alarm yourself via red
alarm push buttons. These are located in corridors
and escape stairwells.
Evacuation
- The escape routes are clearly described on the escape plans that are placed in each corridor.
- You can always reach two independent escape routes.
- Evacuation must take place through corridors and stairwells via the ground level into the open air.
- Escape routes are marked with bright green escape signs. The signs are always lit and have a battery backup to illuminate even in the event of a power cut.
- Escape routes must not be blocked.
Gathering place
In the event of a triggered fire alarm, all persons must leave the building and gather at the assembly point. There you report to the evacuation leader to facilitate the work of the Rescue Service. Only then can you leave the meeting place. The meeting point is on the Gibraltar Embankment
