In Bohuslän, there are two marine research stations: Kristineberg and Tjärnö.
Kristineberg, University of Gothenburg
At Gullmarsfjorden in central Bohuslän is the Kristineberg Marine Research Station. Marine university education is conducted here, which is primarily focused on ocean acidification, micro-litter and innovation.
At Tjärnö and in Fiskebäckskil in Bohuslän, unique, advanced marine biological research is underway. The special depth and design of the Koster fjord means that species that are normally found far out at sea live in these waters.
