Solar cells

The psychologist was provided with solar cells in connection with the replacement of roofing felt.

The plant consists of 164 solar cells whose highest output is estimated at 89 kWp.

This facility will produce approx. 73,000 kWh/year, it is a joint step towards Academic House and Gothenburg University's goal of halving the energy use in its properties by 2025. It also benefits our goal of a zero vision of internal climate footprint by 2025.

How much energy is involved?

A villa with electric heating is estimated to use 25,000 kWh / year, the energy produced corresponds almost to 3 villas. The facility is estimated to reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 14 tons/year.

The estimate is based on purchased electricity which is estimated to result in 13-20g of carbon dioxide emissions / kWh. According to an investigation by the energy consultancy in 2018.
