General information

The pedestrian connection between Sahlgrenska University Hospital and Medicinarberget aims to connect the clinical and preclinical activities at the Faculty of Medicine. Guldhedsgatan's heavy traffic and the difference in height up to Medicinarberget have formed a tangible barrier between the operational parts.

The pedestrian connection, which was completed in its entirety in 2003, consists of two bridge parts and an intermediate 20-metre high lift tower. From the lift tower, in addition to connecting to both parts of the bridge, there is direct passage to the biomedical library and an entrance from Medicinargatan.
