General information

The older part of the building was built in 1919 as a "lunatic asylum". Today, the building houses a number of different institutions and groups linked to the University of Gothenburg. The newer part of the building dates from 1962 and originally contained a dormitory for patients, who were in education and training for a longer period.

The building is located in an area that is included in Gothenburg Municipality's conservation program.
The building is listed as culturally and historically valuable by KBS/SFV.
