General information

Akademiska Hus could proudly present the world's most modern music academy with the inauguration of the Royal Academy of Music in Stockholm in 2016. However, the construction was a bit of a challenge as the Stables, Riding House, Röda Villan and the courtyard area since 1993 constitute building monuments. This means that they have cultural-historical values that have been taken into account and preserved during the reconstruction.

The entire KMH consists of an area of approximately 16,000 square meters. In the main building, with its glass facade, there are concert halls, practice rooms, computer rooms, studios with control rooms, teaching rooms and much more. Great focus has been placed on creating meetings and community between students, teachers and the public, and several times a week free concerts are offered to the public.
