Campus Solna, located in the emerging district of Hagastaden, is an area strongly characterised by research and education. In addition to Karolinska Institutet (KI), there are also government agencies, institutes and companies, all with links to education and research in medicine and health. In total, more than 4000 people research, work and study on campus.
The area and properties
Campus Solna has a long tradition of research, featuring historic buildings that we continuously develop and refine. The campus's inner areas consist of classic brick architecture that reflects traditional campus ideas, with open courtyards and park settings. In collaboration with KI, we are committed to preserving the original structures while evolving the campus to meet future needs.
We have complemented the historic buildings with new, advanced laboratories and architecturally significant structures. A prime example is Gert Wingårdh’s impressive Aula Medica, symbolizing the modern and innovative progress of the campus. The area is also gaining a new urban frontage along Solnavägen, with tall buildings and modern facades that create a dynamic and inspiring environment for research and education.
Staff and visitors with cars are directed to paid parking spaces within Campus Solna. Please see the Campus map .
Fee can be paid via app, parking machine or monthly card. Prices are exclusive of any supplements.
Parking is recommended mainly in the Skruven car park at Tomtebodavägen 5B. There are 523 spaces indoors and 20 spaces outdoors, charging facilities for electric cars and indoor bicycle parking. The car park is open 06.00–22.00 with the possibility to collect the car around the clock.
There is a heated garage in Biomedicum with access from Solnavägen 11. There are 145 indoor parking spaces, of which 30 spaces have charging facilities for electric cars. The garage is open 24 hours a day.
When paying via app and machine in Skruven and Biomedicum, you get a code that can be used to re-enter the garage. Contact Aimo Park's customer service on 0771-96 90 00 if you have questions about this.
Staff parking:
As staff in the area, a discounted rate is given. This is obtained on presentation of a staff sticker.
Parking for the disabled:
Vehicles with a permit for disabled people park free of charge on Campus Solna. Special places are available near entrances or in other visitor parking lots. If spaces are fully occupied, you may park freely on campus with a handicap permit, provided you do not block traffic.
Motorbike:
Motorcyclists park for free at Akademiska Hus campus areas in Stockholm. Use primarily designated motorcycle parking spaces. Due to safety reasons and to maintain accessibility, parking may not take place at entrances.

Motorcycles:
Motorcyclists park for free at Academic House campus areas in Stockholm. Please use designated motorcycle parking spaces primarily. For safety reasons and to maintain accessibility, parking is not permitted at entrances.
