Campus Solna
The buildings at Nobels väg 3 consist of five buildings. The first parts facing the square were built as early as 1948 and the latest addition facing the northern link was built in the 1990s. The buildings have up to 5 floors. In the lower part of the building facing the square is the main entrance but also meeting rooms and lounge areas. The other floors are the operational floor with laboratory premises and associated administrative premises.

The buildings have 2 passenger elevators between the "basement floor lower" and "2 stairs upper" floors.
- It is prohibited to transport bicycles in all elevators.
- In the event of a fire, the elevators must not be used.
- In the event of a power outage, the elevators automatically go down to the nearest floor.
- If an elevator stops between floors, the emergency button must be held down for at least 15 seconds.
- Outside an alarmed elevator, an alarm signal sounds and a call is automatically connected to the elevator emergency service, which is available 24/7.
The main entrance (Nobels väg 3) is unlocked during office hours 8 am - 5 pm. At other times and to other entrances, entry is via Accessy, which is a digital service where you gain access to the building through your mobile phone. Accessy gives you control over the doors to which you have access, also allows you to grant access to others remotely and withdraw it if necessary. Note! The gate or front door to the building must not be left unlocked or ajar. It is a shared responsibility to ensure that unauthorized persons do not gain access to the gate code.
Always contact the landlord if you wish to put up signs, or for events outside the premises.
Remember that the entire campus is a non-smoking area.
Fire protection work is carried out in cooperation between the landlord and the tenant. Generally, the landlord is responsible for fire protection outside the premises and the tenant for fire protection inside the premises. This is regulated in the lease agreement.
It is important not to store, place or leave anything in the stairwell or in public areas that could pose a fire risk, make it difficult to access and clean, or be disruptive to the well-being of the occupants.
Evacuation takes place via the respective stairwell. Each tenant is responsible for ensuring that there is an updated evacuation plan.
The building is equipped with an evacuation alarm in the event of a fire. In the event of smoke, smoke detectors trigger an evacuation alarm throughout the building and a signal to evacuate is given via a doorbell. If a fire is detected, call 112, as the evacuation alarm is not directly forwarded to the Rescue Services. Try to limit the fire source by closing windows and doors.
You can manually trigger the alarm yourself using push buttons in escape routes.
Detailed information about the building regarding fire cells, evacuation/assembly areas, RWC security alarms, ventilation & oxygen alarms and evacuation chairs is formulated and described in the rental agreement. Akademiska Hus has ambitious climate and energy work and strives to reach net zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2040, which is reflected in everything we do in our properties.
The building has a water-based heating system with radiators and is equipped with smart sensors that are designed to ensure an optimal indoor climate with as low energy use as possible.
To save water, we have installed low-flush toilets and faucets that reduce water flow. We have also installed shower heads and mixers that save water without compromising comfort.
In public areas such as corridors and stairwells, lighting is controlled with presence sensors. Entrance lighting is time-controlled. Tenant areas (offices and labs) are lit manually via push buttons and turned off automatically. The lighting is energy-efficient and LED-based.
A room can feel warm to some and cold to others. How we experience the temperature depends on several things, such as activity level and clothing. Our property technicians ensure that the systems are working and that the temperature and ventilation are set correctly, but each individual experiences the climate differently.
The ventilation is adapted to the number of people and the equipment used in the rooms. The number of people the premises are adapted for is stated in the rental agreement. The lab has demand-controlled ventilation that increases the airflow when the fume hood is opened. Closed fume hoods use less energy.
After working hours, the ventilation is switched off to save energy. You can start it manually with a push button in corridors and copy rooms. The ventilation continues for a preset period of time.

The building has common areas shared by tenants with bookable meeting rooms, flexible conference rooms, changing rooms and practical bicycle storage.
The campus area has large communal green spaces – free for everyone to use. There is also a boules court, beach volleyball court, outdoor gym and workplaces for outdoor work. PIFFL activity boxes, a sharing service for sports and outdoor games, are available on the area.
Getting to Campus Solna is easy, no matter how you prefer to travel. By bike from T-centralen it takes about 10 minutes. It is about a 7-minute walk to Sankt Eriksplan metro station, and 10 minutes to Odenplan (Vanadisplan) for further travel by commuter train and metro.
A bicycle garage for staff is located in the building with access from Berzelius väg 23. All tenants also have access to changing rooms with showers. Bicycle parking for visitors is available in several locations around the building.
The campus also has a newly built parking garage with space for 500 cars. It is also possible to charge your electric car on the campus area.
Staff and visitors by car are directed to the paid parking garages along Tomtebodavägen and Solnavägen. For people with disabilities with a special parking permit, there is a parking space adjacent to the building.
Larger deliveries to and from Nobels väg 3 are made via cargo intake/goods reception at Berzelius väg 31. For deliveries to the goods reception, the supplier calls the recipient who lets them in via Accessy.
If you need to make adjustments or remodel your premises, you should always contact the Landlord to find the most sustainable solution possible.
The tenant should primarily choose eco-labeled or recycled furnishings for the premises. It is not permitted to purchase office furnishings made from tropical wood that does not have a PEFC or FSC certificate.
Parking space intended for vehicles with a disability permit is located next to the main entrance – Nobels väg 3.
The main entrance at Nobels väg 3 is equipped with a ramp and automatic door opener. Most of the business floors are wheelchair accessible – the exception is the entrance at von Eulers väg 3.
Toilets adapted for the disabled are available on each business floor and are equipped with a local security alarm.
On the first floor (Berzelius väg 23) there is an environmental room for handling and sorting waste.
Currently the following is handled:

- Colored and uncolored glass
- Metal
- Kitchen waste
- Batteries
- Food waste
Recycled paper is sorted, handled and paid for directly by each tenant within the tenant's premises.
