Car parking
Staff and visitors are directed to paid parking spaces within Campus Solna. Parking space intended for vehicles with a parking permit for the disabled is at the main entrance Retzius väg 8.

Bicycle parking
In the house on the first floor there is a bicycle room that can be used by the house's tenants. Entrance is from stairwell T4 at the beginning of Retzius väg and through the elevator in the same stairwell.
Outside, there is bicycle parking around the buildings.

Subway, commuter train and bus connections are within walking distance. Campus Solna is accessible by car and parking is offered on site and managed by Aimo Park. Bicycle parking and air stations are available in the area.

The building consists of three main entrances and a loading dock/waste room with the following addresses:

The outer door at the entrances will be open during office hours between 07:00 and 17:00. Inner entrance doors are kept locked. Intercoms are installed at each entrance.
Each tenant is responsible for a change of address. Mailboxes are in each entrance.
Smaller deliveries are handled via the stairwell entrances where an intercom is installed. Larger deliveries are referred to the loading dock with address Retzius väg 2 where an intercom is also installed.
Liselotts Lööf is our waste contractor and manages the waste management at Campus Solna.
In the building's waste room, waste is sorted into different fractions. Source sorting fractions that are included are the following:
Office paper, newspapers and magazines are sorted locally in the house in white waste bins. When the containers are full, they are taken down by the tenant to the waste room for emptying by the waste contractor on Tuesdays.
When receiving goods, the tenant is responsible for removing pallets and packaging.
Other waste-Environmentally hazardous waste
Waste such as radioactive, chemical and biological waste is handled by the tenant according to special regulations. Waste rooms for environmentally hazardous waste are provided in stairwells T1, T2 and T3 on floor 1.
Temporary solution
During construction, the waste room for environmentally hazardous waste on level 1 is used for all fractions as the waste room at the loading dock is not available.
Car parking
A parking space intended for vehicles with a parking permit for the disabled can be found next to the entrance. Please see the campus map for Campus Solna .
Entrance and lift
The entrances are accessible and all business floors can be reached via lift.
RWC
Toilets adapted for the disabled are available on each business floor and are equipped with a local security alarm. Alarms are indicated locally by sound and a red flashing light outside each room. It is important that you who see and hear this alarm contact the person who needs help. Alarms are reset in each room by pressing the reset button.
In the house there is a dressing room on floor 1 with lockers that can be used during the day by the house's tenants.
On floor 1 there are freezer rooms that tenants can use for a separate charge.
Storage is available for rent in different parts of the building.

Fiber is extended to the connection point in the building and the tenant is then responsible for the extension from the connection point to the premises and then chooses the supplier himself. Error reporting regarding the internet is made to the tenant's chosen internet provider.
Environmental construction
In the design phase and in production, the project has worked so that the possibility of certifying the building according to the certification system Miljöbyggnad, level Silver can be implemented.
Sun shielding
As part of optimizing the building's climate system and comfort, in autumn 2021 windows in the current facades will be fitted with external awnings. These are controlled automatically via sensors for sun, wind, outside temperature and precipitation. Manual control of awnings will be possible via switches in tenant areas. When temporarily set in manual mode, the system returns to automatic control according to the set time interval in the control system.
The Retzius laboratory has 5 elevators named L1, L2, L3, L4 and L5.

In the event of a stop in the elevator, the yellow emergency signal button is held down for at least 15 seconds until a voice connection with the elevator emergency company is established via the emergency telephone.
Outside the alarmed elevator, a siren sounds with a pulsating sound.
The elevator has the "priority run" function (ie it does not stop on any floor other than the selected one).

Evacuation alarm in case of fire
There are smoke detectors in corridors, public and technical areas that automatically trigger an evacuation alarm in the event of fire smoke. Alarms are indicated by bells or sirens supplemented by flashing lights in corridors. In public spaces such as the entrance area and auditoriums, a spoken message is heard. In the event of a fire, call 112 as the evacuation alarm is not directly forwarded to the Rescue Service.
You can manually trigger the alarm yourself using push buttons in escape routes. Limit the source of the fire by closing windows and doors.
Fire cells
The building is divided into a number of fire cells to prevent fire and smoke from spreading. Each fire cell is delimited by fire-rated walls and doors. In principle, all floors, stairwells, lifts, operating areas and waste rooms have their own fire cells. Doors in fire cell boundaries can be magnetically suspended in the open position for transport and closed manually with a push button labeled "fire door closer". When an evacuation alarm is triggered, the doors close automatically within the alarmed area.
Doors in fire cell boundaries must absolutely not be blocked or set up with wedges or the like!
Escape routes/assembly point
At least two escape routes can be reached from each workplace. The escape routes, which are marked with green, luminous escape signs, must never be blocked. The green signs are always lit and have a battery backup to illuminate even in the event of a power cut.
If the fire alarm is triggered, all personnel must leave the building, close all doors behind them and gather at the assembly point which is at the grassy area outside the main entrance Retzius väg 8 and opposite the Forensic Medicine's parking lot. The staff reports there to the evacuation recipient. No one may depart from the assembly point until this is done.
Generally
In order to obtain good air quality in the premises, a need-based VAV system is installed. This means that the ventilation automatically adapts to presence and heat-emitting equipment. During very hot summer days, the indoor temperature is allowed to rise slightly.
Office and conference room
In offices and conference rooms, the normal temperature can usually be influenced via a regulator on the wall. Normally “auto mode” should be set. The fan speed is then adapted to the person and heat load, in addition to a continuous basic flow.
Laboratories
The ventilation in the lab is needs-based. This means that the air circulation, in addition to a continuous basic flow, changes when the door is opened during work at ventilated workplaces.
Protective ventilation
Work with dangerous and/or volatile chemicals must be done at ventilated workplaces. Protectively ventilated units are available i.a. in the form of drawers, drawers and ventilated cabinets. Chemicals must be stored in ventilated cabinets.
In order for the ventilation to produce the desired effect, it is essential to follow the instructions at each workplace. To provide a full protective effect, windows in the vicinity of the workplace must be kept closed when drafts disturb the air flow.
Possibility of weathering
To maintain optimal function and control for the installed climate system, the window knobs have been removed and replaced with covers. If there is an urgent need for ventilation, a loose window handle can be used. Balcony doors on floors 2 and 3 can be opened as usual, but should be kept closed for the aforementioned reason.
Generally
General lighting in common areas is performed with presence-controlled LED lighting for long durability and low energy consumption.
In common premises and spaces, Akademiska Hus is responsible for operation and maintenance of general lighting.
In leased premises, the tenant himself is responsible for the operation and maintenance of general lighting and environmental lighting.
Laboratories
In the lab, lighting is turned on and off manually via a push button inside the door. If it is desired to turn off individual ceiling luminaires, pull switches on the luminaires can be used. Please note that the ceiling fixture must be manually switched on again when lighting is desired again.
