Today there was an explosion at 4.30 in the Electrum 1 building in Kista. This is a terrible incident and at the same time we want to express our great relief that no one was injured.
Police, emergency services and our operating staff were quickly on the scene. The police have opened a criminal investigation into public danger of devastation, which contributed to the building's entrance level having limited access.
The damage to the building includes the entrance area at Isafjordsgatan 22, minor internal damage in Glasgatan and some window panes facing the courtyard, mainly on the entrance level. The emergency services and fire brigade were able to immediately assess that it is not dangerous to stay in the property. The building, in addition to the cordoned off entrance floor, has thus been able to be open during the day and it has been possible to work on site on the other floors.
After the police lift the cordon, we begin the work of rebuilding the entrance. Next, we will build a temporary entrance. While we are working on the temporary entrance, we refer to the entrance at Kistagången 16 , which is the property's main entrance, or Isafjordsgatan 26 , which is also available for passage. The garage entrance at Isafjordsgatan 18B is also open for passage so garage tenants have access to, and can from inside the garage, get further into the property.
In order to increase safety and security in and around the building, until the shell protection and entrance are secured, there will be guards on site around the clock from the time the police have removed their cordons.
