General information
Södra huset is a complex consisting of six high-rise buildings, named with the letters AF. The house was designed by the architect David Helldén (1905-1990) after a Nordic architectural competition and was inaugurated in 1971. The houses are linked via a long connecting link. The glass facade has a light blue-green hue that has been given its color by painting the tempered glass panes white on the back. The architect Ralph Erskine has contributed by drawing the canopies that are in front of the house's entrances. Södra Huset is known for its interior, where each house has its own recognizable color. House E has, among other things, turquoise walls and turquoise interior details.
