General information
The Stockholm University Library was completed in 1983. Just like several other buildings at Frescati, the library was designed by the architect Ralph Erskine. The building is a popular meeting and study place for the students. In 2014-2015, the library and operations were modernized and adapted to new conditions. An extensive renovation and rebuilding created space for around 100 new study places, new and more modern group rooms, improved ventilation, better acoustics, new surface layers (carpets, walls, ceilings) and a technical infrastructure in the form of, among other things, improved access to the wireless network and more electrical sockets for charging carried computers.
