Campus Frescati and Kräftriket are among the first campus areas in the country to test a new type of activity cabinet. Akademiska Hus has invested in two cabinets, located in central Frescati and at Kräftriket in connection with the new outdoor gym. The activity cabinets provide easy access to various activities without the need for own equipment, which we hope inspires movement and that our outdoor environments on campus are used even more.
Akademiska Hus is one of Sweden's largest land managers and in that assignment, the outdoor environments around properties are an important part. We work a lot with you, our customers, to develop and create attractive outdoor environments around the country. Research shows that green environments can make a place more de-stressing and stimulating and also have a positive effect on recovery and ability to concentrate.
Activity locker on campus
In the development of the outdoor environments, it is important to create conditions for activity and movement, which is already done through e.g. outdoor gym, walking and cycling paths, boules courts and more. The concept of a sharing platform and activity locker will complement the already existing possibilities and activate the green environments around the campus.
How-to?
Via an app, you as a user can see where there are activity cabinets and what activities are in them. Some examples of materials are balls for different sports, cub, superjenga, sledding and more. The benefits are many, for example:
