Umeå
Error report:
Is something wrong in your house? Submit an error report to Akademiska Hus via the app or on our website. Enter any room number when reporting a fault. The room number is indicated on the door post.
In case of urgent errors outside normal working hours (Monday-Friday, 07.30-16.00) you can call the emergency number 070-510 10 02.
Locking:
The house is equipped with a time-controlled central locking system. In addition to regular working hours, an access card with a code is required for access.
When exiting through locked doors, press the button with the key symbol located next to the door. Also make sure the door locks.
In environmental rooms there are separate containers for glass, paper, batteries and other rubbish. Akademiska Hus is responsible for emptying environmental rooms.
The tenant is responsible for removing bulky waste, pallets and larger packaging.
Generally
Lighting fixtures are equipped with high-frequency devices to reduce light flicker.
Public spaces (corridors, etc.)
In public areas, the lighting is switched on/off by a central timer and twilight switch, as well as manually by push buttons and extinguishing pulses. When the lighting is turned off by extinguishing pulses, it can be turned on again by the tenant using push buttons.
Exterior lighting
Lighting in the entrance, wind trap and exterior lighting is switched on/off by a central clock and light relay.
Research halls, reception, course reading room
The lighting is switched on with push buttons on the control panel.
Force
In some parts of the social science building, a 5-wire system is installed, which minimizes electric and magnetic fields.
Fire
A fire alarm (signal sounds) is installed in the building and the alarm goes directly to the fire brigade and 112.
If the fire alarm goes off, evacuate the house according to signs and evacuation plans.
Fire doors set up with magnets close automatically in the event of an alarm to prevent the spread of fire and smoke gases.
SCARED - WARN - ALARM - EXTINGUISH
• save yourself and others around you, but don't take too many risks yourself
• warn others who may be in danger
• alert the Emergency Services by calling 112
• put out the fire if possible
Fire sectioned doors in corridors and towards escape routes that are not set up with magnets connected to the fire alarm must always be kept closed to prevent the spread of fire and smoke gases.
Person and elevator alarms
It is possible to send an emergency signal in lifts, disabled toilets and rest rooms. When the push button is held down, a signal sounds outside the door and an alarm is sent to Akademiska Hus. After regular working hours, alarms are sent to on-call staff or security guards.
Alarms from elevators are reset by operating personnel.
Sprinkler
Parts of levels 2 and 3 are served by a water sprinkler system. The sprinkler is automatically started where the heat detector is triggered and is only turned off by the responsible fire officer.
Escape routes/ Assembly point
See evacuation plans in corridors.
The stairwells form independent escape routes. Two stairwells can be reached from each workplace. The escape routes, which are marked with green, luminous escape signs, must never be blocked. The green signs are always lit and have a battery backup to illuminate even in the event of a power cut.
If the fire alarm is triggered, all personnel must leave the building, close all doors behind them and gather at the assembly point (See the respective evacuation plan). The staff reports there to the evacuation recipient and leaves their name and group affiliation or equivalent. No one may depart from the assembly point until this is done.
The house has a so-called waterborne heating system with radiators. In rooms with radiators, the room temperature can be regulated via the thermostat on the side of the radiator.
In rooms where cooling baffles are installed, the desired room temperature can be set on the room regulator placed on the wall.
Car parking
Parking spaces intended for vehicles with a handicap permit can be found close to the main entrance. Please see Campus map
Entrances and lifts
The entrances are accessible and all floors can be reached via lift.
RWC
Toilets adapted for the disabled are available on each floor. At the RWC there are security alarms with red push buttons labeled "emergency signal". Alarms are reset inside each room by pressing the reset button.
Generally
The ventilation normally runs during the day and is started/stopped via time channel.
In group rooms, study rooms and cafés, the ventilation can be started with a timer. The ventilation then runs for the set time.
In Humlabb, language lab and auditoriums A, B, C and D, the ventilation starts when someone enters the room.
It is allowed to ventilate the premises by opening the windows, only these are closed when leaving the premises - think about the risk of theft!
However, do not open windows after 4 p.m. or during weekends as this could trigger an alarm!
In classrooms and group rooms, signs are posted indicating the number of people the room is designed for.
