Umeå
Error report:
Is something wrong in your house? Submit an error report to Akademiska Hus via the app or on our website. Enter any room number when reporting a fault. The room number is indicated on the door post.
In case of urgent errors outside normal working hours (Monday-Friday, 07.30-16.00) you can call the emergency number 070-510 10 02.
Locking:
The house is equipped with a time-controlled central locking system. In addition to regular working hours, an access card with a code is required for access.
When exiting through locked doors, press the button with the key symbol located next to the door. Also make sure the door locks.
There are bins for paper in corridors. Other rubbish is left in waste rooms/environmental rooms where separate bins for source sorting are located. Akademiska Hus is responsible for emptying the environmental rooms.
The tenant is responsible for removing bulky waste, pallets and larger packaging.
General/Corridors
The lighting in the corridors is switched on according to the time channel. In addition to the time channel, it lights up on presence.
ITS (light yard)
The lighting in the light yard is switched on with push buttons on the control panel in the reception.
"Spotlights" in the light yard are switched on in the morning and switched off in the evening, these are also switched off when it is light outside.
Office
The offices are equipped with LED fixtures. It lights up on presence and can be dimmed with a drawstring.
Classrooms
The classrooms are equipped with LED fixtures. Turns on via switch and switches off in the evening via extinguishing pulse.
Fire
A fire alarm (signal sounds) is installed in the building and in the event of a fire, the alarm goes directly to the emergency services and 112.
If the fire alarm goes off, evacuate the house according to posted signs and evacuation plans. Fire doors set up with magnets close automatically in the event of an alarm to prevent the spread of fire and smoke gases.
SCARED - WARN - ALARM - EXTINGUISH
• save yourself and others around you, but don't take too many risks yourself
• warn others who may be in danger
• alert the Emergency Services by calling 112
• put out the fire if possible
Fire sectioned doors in corridors and towards escape routes that are not set up with magnets connected to the fire alarm must always be kept closed to prevent the spread of fire and smoke gases.
Escape routes/ Assembly point
See evacuation plans in corridors.
The stairwells form independent escape routes. Two stairwells can be reached from each workplace. The escape routes, which are marked with green luminous escape signs, must never be blocked. The green signs are always lit and have a battery backup to illuminate even in the event of a power cut.
If the fire alarm is triggered, all personnel must leave the building, close all doors behind them and gather at the assembly point (See the respective evacuation plan). The staff reports there to the evacuation recipient and leaves their name and group affiliation or equivalent. No one may depart from the assembly point until this is done.
Sprinkler
The sprinkler is automatically started when the heat detector is triggered and can only be turned off by the responsible fire officer.
Person and elevator alarms
The ability to send an emergency signal is available in elevators. When the push button is held down for more than 15 seconds, a signal sounds outside the door and the alarm goes to Akademiska Hus. After regular working hours, alarms are sent to on-call personnel or security guards.
Alarms are reset by operating personnel.
Coverage
Remember to lock your room when it is empty, and not to store things that are prone to theft, especially not in the front, in the room.
At night, the building is guarded by guards.
If you see people you don't know, ask who they are and what they are doing on the premises. Be prepared to show identification if you are staying on the premises.
Heat
The house has a so-called waterborne heating system for heating elements on the outer walls. If it is cold in the room, check that the valve next to or under the element is open before reporting a fault.
The desired temperature is set using a thermostat placed on the element or, if available, via a room sensor placed on the wall.
Cold
Some rooms with a high heat load are cooled with cooling beams placed in the ceiling. The temperature is controlled via a room sensor. In rooms where cooling beams are installed, the desired temperature can be set on the room regulator, which is placed on the wall.
Car parking
Parking spaces intended for vehicles with a handicap permit can be found close to the main entrance. Please see Campus map.
Entrances and lifts
The entrances are accessible and all floors can be reached via lift.
RWC
Toilets adapted for the disabled are available on each floor. At the RWC there are security alarms with red push buttons labeled "emergency signal". Alarms are reset inside each room by pressing the reset button.
Generally
The ventilation normally runs during the day and is started/stopped via time channel. Outside regular office hours, the ventilation can be started with timer push buttons.
In auditoriums, classrooms, computer labs and seminar rooms, the ventilation is controlled by presence, temperature and carbon dioxide. The light gardens are equipped with ventilation hatches and awnings that are controlled by the prevailing weather and time of day.
It is allowed to ventilate the premises by opening the windows, only these are closed when leaving the premises! Consider the risk of theft.
However, do not open windows after 16.00 or during weekends as this could trigger an alarm!
The house has individual room regulation with cooling baffles and overhead air.
In lecture halls and group rooms, signs are posted indicating the number of people the premises are designed for.
