Umeå
Error report:
Is something wrong in your house? Submit an error report to Akademiska Hus via the app or on our website. Enter any room number when reporting a fault. The room number is indicated on the door post.
In case of urgent errors outside normal working hours (Monday-Friday, 07.30-16.00) you can call the emergency number 070-510 10 02.
Locking:
The teacher training building is equipped with an electronic central locking system. In addition to regular working hours, access cards and codes must be used. When exiting through locked doors, press button with key symbol.
There are bins for paper in corridors. Other rubbish is left in waste rooms/environmental rooms where bins for source sorting are located. Akademiska Hus is responsible for emptying waste rooms.
The tenant is responsible for removing bulky waste, pallets and larger packaging.
General/Corridors
The lighting is switched on via push button in the morning and automatically switched off in the evening. At night, the lighting can be switched on by push buttons and switched off automatically after a while.
Cafe (light yard)
The lighting is switched on by push button and switches off automatically in the evening. If it is bright outside, however, the lighting cannot be switched on (the pushbutton is lit during the time that the lighting can be switched on).
Office
All office lighting is switched on and off manually via push buttons.
Force
Within the Teacher Training, a 5-wire system has been installed, which reduces electromagnetic fields that can occur with electrical installations.
Interventions must not be done!
If changes are needed in the electrical system, contact Akademiska Hus.
Fire
A fire alarm (signal sounds) is installed in the building and the alarm goes directly to the emergency services.
If the fire alarm goes off, evacuate the house according to posted signs and evacuation plans. The house has fire doors that are set up with magnets. These close automatically in the event of an alarm to prevent the spread of fire and smoke gases.
SCARED - WARN - ALARM - EXTINGUISH
• save yourself and others around you, but don't take too many risks yourself
• warn others who may be in danger
• alert the Emergency Services by calling 112
• put out the fire if possible
Fire sectioned doors in corridors and towards escape routes that are not set up with magnets connected to the fire alarm must always be kept closed to prevent the spread of fire and smoke gases.
Escape routes/ Assembly point
See evacuation plans in corridors.
The stairwells form independent escape routes. Two stairwells can be reached from each workplace. The escape routes, which are marked with green luminous escape signs, must never be blocked. The green signs are always lit and have a battery backup to illuminate even in the event of a power cut.
If the fire alarm is triggered, all personnel must leave the building, close all doors behind them and gather at the assembly point (See the respective evacuation plan). The staff reports there to the evacuation recipient and leaves their name and group affiliation or equivalent. No one may depart from the assembly point until this is done.
Sprinkler
The entire building is served by a water sprinkler system. The sprinkler is automatically started when the heat detector is triggered and can only be turned off by the responsible fire officer.
Flammable equipment
Installation of flammable equipment or setting up gas cylinders with flammable gases may only take place after contacting Akademiska Hus, which in turn has a duty to notify the fire service.
As a user, you are responsible for gas bottles being labeled and fire extinguishing equipment required for the business being procured.
Person and elevator alarms
It is possible to send an emergency signal in lifts, disabled toilets and rest rooms. When the push button is held down for more than 15 seconds, a signal sounds outside the door and an alarm is sent to Akademiska Hus. After regular working hours, alarms are sent to on-call staff or security guards. An alarm telephone with voice communication is also installed for lifts.
Alarms from elevators are reset by operating personnel.
The house has a so-called water-borne system for heating elements on the outer walls and cooling beams on the roofs. The desired room temperature can be individually set on a sensor placed on the wall.
With the help of the setpoint switch, the room temperature can be adjusted according to the user's wishes. By moving the switch upwards to the plus sign, the room temperature is raised, by moving it downwards to the minus sign, the room temperature is lowered. Preset room temperature is around 20°C. If the room temperature exceeds the set value by more than 2°C, the cooling starts.
Entrances and lifts
The entrances are accessible and all floors can be reached via lift.
Car parking
Parking spaces intended for vehicles with a handicap permit can be found close to the main entrance. Please see Campus map .
RWC
Toilets adapted for the disabled are available on each floor. At the RWC there are security alarms with red push buttons labeled "emergency signal". Alarms are reset inside each room by pressing the reset button.
Generally
The ventilation normally runs during the day and is started/stopped by a time channel.
In fume hoods and classrooms, the ventilation can be forced using timer push buttons. Outside normal operating hours, the ventilation unit is also started.
The light gardens are equipped with ventilation hatches that are controlled by the prevailing weather and time of day.
It is permitted to ventilate the premises by opening the windows, only these are closed when the premises are left.
Remember, however, not to open windows outside office hours as this can trigger an alarm!
In classrooms and group rooms there are signs posted with the number of people the premises are designed for.
