General information

Måltidens Hus is a center for food, drink and the form of the meal. In the house, two actors with different activities come together. Örebro University conducts university education and research in meal knowledge.

In 1992, during the World Exhibition in Seville, Måltidens Hus represented Sweden in Spain. The pavilion, which has a truly unique ceiling, is decorated with the northern lights by the artist Gösta Wessel. The formation of the roof is conceived as the shape of a Mediterranean palace, which meets the Swedish barn. Before the inauguration of the house in 1994, it had been moved from Spain to Bergslagen, where it was then rebuilt on Campus Grythyttan.
