Gamla kirurgen

The building is located in Lund's old hospital area and was built as a surgical pavilion, hence the everyday name Old Surgeon. The house was built in 1868 but was rebuilt and until 1905 (Axel Kumelien) and 1928 (Salomon Sörensson). During the 1970s, the infirmary moved from the block and the buildings became teaching premises for Lund University. Extensive renovations were made during 1978-1980 (Klas Anshelm) to better adapt the premises to teaching. During the 1990s, minor renovations were made both inside and outside.
