During weeks 38 to 42, work is underway to improve the Blå Stråket. This means that pedestrian/bicycle traffic through the UB park will be redirected and accessibility will be affected.
According to the current detailed plan, we may not lay asphalt along the Blå Stråket. Together with the municipality of Lund, which has maintenance responsibility, we have now found an alternative solution to make the pedestrian and cycle path better. By raising and lowering the levels and removing kerbstones, we can create new catchment zones that divert stormwater. This, in turn, will lead to us removing the water furrows we currently have problems with.
Now the County Administrative Board, Lund municipality and the city antiquary have approved the plan, which is why we can now start the work.
We hope for understanding for any disruptions, soon the Blå Stråket will be just like before, but better!
