General information

Forum Medicum enables the co-location of medical and health science education and research and will be an important part of the Faculty of Medicine's future development.
Forum Medicum includes 16,000 square meters of new construction and 7,800 square meters of remodeling of the Biomedical Center (BMC) at Sölvegatan in Lund. The purpose of the new building is to meet the Faculty of Medicine's needs for state-of-the-art premises for education, research and offices and to take advantage of valuable opportunities for new forms of collaboration between the Faculty's educations in medicine, health and care. In total, 4,000 students, researchers and employees will have their residence here. At the same time, the new building means that the place will be more open and inviting, something that should make the activities in Forum Medicum more accessible to the outside world.
