In order to create more accessible parking spaces for our customers as Uppsala University starts training on site at the Campus Areas this autumn, Akademiska Hus will begin reintroducing parking fees within its property portfolio. The reintroduction will take place in two steps.
Fee for Tariff 1 will be introduced from 1 September 2020
In a first step, the fees for those who are not customers of Akademiska Hus will be reintroduced. In the first phase, it will still be free for Akademiska Hus' customers.
In a second step, later in the future, the fees will be reintroduced for everyone, ie also for you who are a customer of Akademiska Hus (and normally pay fee 2). Information will be provided in good time before the introduction of a parking fee for everyone.
Verification of entitlement to free parking for you who are a customer of Akademiska Hus
To verify that parkers are entitled to free parking, one of the following options must be visible in the car:
- Uppsala University's special permit (used in certain campus areas)
- Permit from Aimo Park with the text "Valid with Taxi 2 ticket".
- For university employees and students at Uppsala University who do not have Uppsala University's special permit, a free ticket must be presented. This ticket is taken out in the regular payment machines by holding up Uppsala University's access card in the card reader on the payment machine. It is also possible to redeem a free ticket via a payment app on your mobile, see the parking ticket for instructions and the zone code.
Parking tickets that are redeemed in vending machines / via the app are valid as before for the entire Akademiska Hus property portfolio, however, some car parks as before also require a special / valid permit.
