The Blåsenhus area has a history dating back 350 years. As early as the 1920s, the first city plan for the area was established, featuring large institutional buildings for the university. Although that plan was never realized, the area has since been designated for public purposes and reserved for the university's future development in all overarching municipal planning.
Since January 2010, Blåsenhus has been home to the university's center for teacher education, psychology, and pedagogy. The area also houses the Student Health's fitness facility, Campus 1477. In 2017, the Segerstedt Building was completed, serving as the workplace for the university leadership and approximately 600 employees in university administration.
The Green Area Lugnet

Here you will also find a variety of activities to cater to different interests. With beach volleyball courts, padel courts, and a piffl activity box, there is something for everyone. Whether you are looking to exercise, play, or just enjoy the lush surroundings, Lugnet is the perfect place.
