General information

Segerstedthuset is perfectly located between Uppsala Castle, the Botanical Garden and Blåsenhus, centrally in the Uppsala University area. This is where the university's management and administration have been housed since the building was completed in May 2017.

An open and welcoming building helps to integrate the area better into the urban environment and with the surrounding cultural monuments. The location required a building with architectural quality that both enriches the urban environment while at the same time showing respect for the cultural-historical environment and representing the entire modern Uppsala University.

The building takes its name from Torgny T:son Segerstedt (1908-1999), rector at Uppsala University from 1955 to 1978. The building is a natural gathering place for employees, students and visitors.
