General information

The Ångström Laboratory is a central part of Uppsala University and is considered one of Europes most advanced laboratories for materials research. The campus is an internationally recognized part of the Akademiska Hus property portfolio, and it represents the universitys strong focus on high-quality research and education. Here, prospective civil and higher education engineers and natural scientists have access to state-of-the-art facilities and resources that support their academic and professional development.

At the FREIA laboratory in building 30, research is conducted in accelerator physics, generation of photon beams using charged particles, accelerator technology and instrumentation.
