Successful renovation of KTH Chemistry completed

After an extensive modernization, we at Akademiska Hus are proud to present the new, improved KTH Chemistry at KTH Campus in Stockholm.

Akademiska Hus has completed a 120 million SEK investment to upgrade and modernize the oldest chemistry building on KTH Campus in collaboration with KTH. This project has transformed an already significant part of the campus into an even more dynamic and functional environment for innovation and development.

The renovated building now offers modernized laboratories and office spaces, as well as flexible common areas designed to promote collaboration and knowledge exchange between students, researchers, and industry. The highlight of the renovation is the new 2MILab (the Molecules and Materials at Interfaces Laboratory), a state-of-the-art research lab that strengthens collaboration between different research groups and facilitates advancements in renewable energy and sustainable industrial processes.

Our commitment to modernizing existing buildings rather than constructing new ones is a key part of our dedication to climate neutrality. The renovation of KTH Chemistry began in November 2021 and covers an area of approximately 5,400 square meters.
