Campus
Karlstad University has a unified campus located on the outskirts of the city, about 6 kilometers northeast of Karlstad city center. The university campus includes an award-winning university library and Building 21 (Lake Vänern), which has been awarded several awards.

The campus area has expanded significantly in recent years, which makes the campus at Karlstad University both vibrant and attractive. Today, many students live in direct proximity to campus. In the area there are also several popular sports facilities such as a sports hall, outdoor gym, gym, and illuminated tracks. The University bus stop is served by several of Karlstad's basic bus routes with several departures per hour during the day.
In the forest east of campus, there is a nice walking trail of about 1.5 km through the forest with a focus on recovery and recreation.
The main distinguishing feature of the campus is its short distances. All buildings are located within a 250-metre radius of the main entrance of the library building and it is possible to move between almost all buildings without having to go outdoors.
Here's how to get to Karlstad University
On campus there is a wide range of services, study places, restaurants and cafés. The campus area offers plenty of creative outdoor environments, meeting places and sports activities.

Bus
Direct bus 1 to and from the city center runs every ten minutes for most of the day. City buses 2, 3, 52, 500 and 501 as well as many county and express buses also stop at the university.

Cycle
There is bicycle parking and air stations are located in the area outside house 1D and house 11. There are also good bicycle and walking paths to get to the university.
Train
Several trains stop at the train station in Välsviken just south of the university. From there, bus 53 goes to the university in a few minutes. From Karlstad central station, take direct bus 1 from Stora torget.
Campus Karlstad is accessible by car and motorbike, and parking is offered in the area and managed by Aimo Park.
