Campus Lund Universitetsplatån

Campus information

Welcome to Campus Lund Universitetsplatån, the northern and central part of the university campus. The area is the most lab-intensive of our campus areas in Lund. The area is constantly being developed and the premises are continuously adapted to suit tomorrow's needs for educational and research premises.

The area and buildings

Universitetsplatån is the geographical centre of Lund University. There are rich architectural values in the form of, among other things, Klas Anshelm's modernist institutional buildings in red brick and the newly built Forum Medicum by Henning Larsen Arcitects. The crest of Kunskapsstråket/Sölvegatan, up on Universitetsplatån, is a central part of Lund's campus and a node where many routes and modes of transport meet, for example one of Lund's busiest cycle routes, Blå stråket.

Within the area there are several meadow areas with tall grass and flowers that provide habitats for insects and food for pollinators. The initiative is a result of the Biodiversity Project, which is a collaboration between Akademiska Hus and the Department of Biology. Together with Lund University, we have developed a campus plan to create the conditions for developing the area and creating an attractive environment for both research and education.
